Daiwa V.I.P. Specialty Muskie Rods series include three bucktail and four jerkbait rods that feature high modulus blanks, tough Fuji New Concept Alconite guides, and Fuji reel seats.

The Daiwa Luna has five Super Corrosion Resistant ball bearings, one instant anti-reverse roller bearing, and top-grade phosphor bronze and brass precision gears. Roller bearings and a free-floating spool maximize its casting performance. Magforce-Z automatic magnetic anti-backlash control, combined with the ultra-smooth multi-disc drag, makes this one smooth and trustworthy workhorse.

Fenwick TechnaAV Muskie Rods are remarkably lightweight, and the Aramid Veil hoop-fiber technology makes them extremely durable and sensitive. Constructed with Fuji Alconite guides and reel seats.

The Abu Garcia 6600EXT features a Linear Magnetic Brake system that’s easy to fine-tune for casting light or heavy baits. Precision-machined Duragear brass gears ensure strong, smooth, and lasting performance, while the Anti-Distortion Spool system allows for efficient and nearly effortless casting.

Thorne Bros. Steel Rod features a G. Loomis steel blank that’s extremely strong but ideally forgiving when tussling with big fish. The new handle material called Syncork is lighter and more durable than natural cork and can be textured to provide a powerful non-slip grip. All custom Thorne Bros. rods feature the highest-grade materials.

Penn’s 965 International is designed with machined stainless-steel gears. It features two aircraft-grade, sealed stainless-steel ball bearings and a strong and smooth sealed drag. Auto-Engage Pinion, centrifugal cast control, soft-grip handle, and machined stainless-steel spindle are other notable features.

Quantum PT SuperLite 7-foot 11-inch heavy action rod (#QTC7117F) has a high-strain, lightweight, graphite blank, Fuji reel seats, and American Tackle Titan titanium frame guides with Nanolite inserts.

Quantum Cabo PT reel features an aluminum frame that’s die-cast and machined from high-grade aircraft aluminum. The large-capacity spool and Syncro brake system make the Abu 7000 Syncro an ideal trolling reel. Cranking the handle back a quarter-turn reduces the drag by 30 percent and lets the lure fall back until it’s reengaged—very convenient for simultaneously setting multiple lines.
